  Adopted a pit bull puppy and the experience was great! I see lots of pit bulls there and they look just as happy and healthy as any other dog there. Going every Thursday, to check out the dogs, I noticed dogs (including pit bulls) would be there for weeks/ months! I love this place!

  I had a very frustrating and upsetting experience with this facility. I had been coming almost every other week for at least two months looking for a puppy and last week I was there when someone was returning a sweet little pitbull puppy. I asked about her and they said to come the next day since it was almost closing time. So I came the next day (Friday) and played with her and let them know I was interested and put an application in. They were supposed to check with my landlord and call me Saturday to pick her up. Well I received no call because apparently my landlord didn't return their call. So Tuesday I go back and have my landlord call and approve it and I expect to pick her up on Wednesday. I went and bought everything you need for a puppy (bed, harness, leash, bowls, shampoo, treats, puppy pads...) and Wednesday I show up and they deny my application because I am moving soon (which I had told them prior to this) and they told me to come back Thursday if I wanted to talk to a supervisor. So of course, I go back Thursday and I am told that someone else has put in an application on her and if they don't pick her up I can have her and they asked for my future landlords number for her to approve the puppy as well, which she did. So Friday I'm praying the other family doesn't pick up my puppy, but of course they did so now I have $120 worth of puppy materials and no puppy. I think it was very unfair to deny me after I had already mentioned moving and no one ever said it would be a problem. I think it is even more unfair to tell me that they changed their mind on denying me and that I could have her if the other family didn't pick her up. Why couldn't I have been approved in the first place and taken her home a week ago? I understand filtering people who come in looking to take a dog home, but after my 3-4 visit I assume they should've been quite aware how invested I was into this puppy. I will not be returning.
